I was born in Chicago and now I live in Louisville. As for the birth of this website, it began in the summer of 2019, when I decided to self-publish a book. Now I’m a writer, an advocate for other people who stutter, a filmmaker, and a student who should probably find a job but finds that sort of business rather insipid.
I usually spend my free time improving my craft, working on my website, learning new things, and playing the drums.
Why I do what I do
I struggled to answer this question when I first began, and I expect the answer will change as time continues to pass. Right now, I write and make videos because I’ve got something important to say and I want to say it. I want to send a message, increase awareness, and enact change.
What you can expect
This website has changed quite a lot in the short time I’ve had it, and it will continue to evolve as new ideas come to me. While I’m more of a creative writer, I’ll try to mix up the content a little more and post articles about other pieces I like, as well as articles about advocacy.
I’ve got lots of hobbies as well, so maybe they’ll find their way into some of my posts every now and then.
What I want YOU to do
I want engagement from you. I want feedback from my readers on my work and how it is presented. Please don’t hesitate to leave a comment or send me an email if you’ve got suggestions, critiques, comments, or questions on anything I do.
It also helps me a ton when you share my work. If you see a post you like, share it on social media or tell people about it (just make sure you include a link back to my website).
If you’ve got a website that’s related to what I do, write a review of one of my posts or of my book. If you’ve got an Amazon account and you’ve read my book (regardless of whether or not you purchased the book), give me a rating and a review. Let other people know why they should or shouldn’t buy it. Examine my work for yourself, and decide if it interests you.
If it does interest you, there are lots of ways you can stay up to date. Sign up for email reminders when new posts come out (I promise I won’t send you spammy advertising or sell your email address off to someone else). Bookmark my website. Read my posts.
I want to build an audience of passionate readers and artists of all kinds, and I want my work to be as open-source as possible and fuelled by engagement from you.
